P.E.

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! I am extremely excited about teaching each  student at our campus. I can't wait to get the school year started to help motivate, empower, and mentor your child in my class. I believe every student will have  fun in PE as long as they are participating.

I am one of the 7/8 grade PE teachers on the junior high campus that will be teaching your child. I am a graduate of La Vega ISD,  I received an associate degree from MCC and my Bachelors degree in education from Baylor University. I enjoy spending time with my four year old son William A. Cartwright V and watching sports on television or Live. I have held other job titles within the district for seven years. Now I am having the pleasure of filling a goal I set as a student at La Vega ISD as the new head basketball coach.

In  PE, we expect full participation in the gymnasium at all times. There will be days when your child's class will be taken outside for some form of exercise and/or activity. There will be rules/procedures set in place for your child to succeed in the gymnasium. Something new that we are adding to PE is quick writes which will give your child the opportunity to help developed writing fluency and to build a habit in reflection into a learning experience.
