Welcome to another glorious year at LaVega Junior High-George Dixon Campus!! I am very pleased to be working with 7th and 8th-grade students as the English/Language Arts Inclusionist on campus this year. As an alum of LaVega I.S.D., I look forward to getting to know your student and sharing with him/her the passion I feel toward education and the Bellmead-Community itself.
After graduating from Tarleton State University, I married my best friend, Brett, and shortly after, took a job as the P.E. Instructional Aide at LaVega Primary School. After 1 1/2 years helping out with the P.E. program, I was asked to take the P.P.C.D. Teacher's Role for the remainder of that school year. The following school year, I transferred to LaVega Intermediate as a Resource teacher for 3 years, when I was asked to go back to Primary as the P.P.C.D. Teacher, where I stayed for 4 more years.
This will be my 6th-year working as an Inclusionist on the junior high campus and I still show up every day with a smile on my face!! I REALLY enjoy getting to know and working with YOUR baby!!
I always enjoyed school as a kid!!. I was blessed with some of the best teachers, who instilled an incredible value of education in me. I feel it is my duty to pay it forward to them, to do the same for your child. Please forgive me if I refer to him/her as "our" child during communication with you, as I feel that every student in my classes is "my" child.
I have an amazing 10-year-old son, Mason, as well as a 9-year-old Canaan Wally Fred, a 4-year-old, Terrier Mix, Maddox, as well as an aquarium full of fish!! Between the kiddo and our "puppies", the best way to describe my household is ENERGETIC!!
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing with my dogs, attending Pirate Football games, shopping, jogging, working out, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
If there is anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate to call me at (254)799-2428 during my conference period, 10:37-11:19, or email me anytime.
Have a great day!!
